TendCue is a personal reminder application for iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app processes, how that information is used, and what choices you have.

2. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the TendCue mobile application and its companion watch experience.

The app is designed to work without a separate account created with us. It is local-first and may use Apple services, such as iCloud / CloudKit, UserNotifications, and WatchConnectivity, to provide core app features.

3. Information The App Processes

Based on the current implementation in this repository, the app may process the following categories of information:

A. Reminder data you create

  • reminder titles
  • cadence settings, including interval value and unit
  • anchor dates, due dates, pause or resume state, and remaining countdown state
  • completion history you create or edit
  • notification settings for each reminder, including relative offset settings

B. App settings and device-related state

  • selected language and appearance settings
  • notification permission status
  • iCloud availability or sync status
  • watch companion snapshot state needed to mirror reminders to Apple Watch

C. Notification-related information

If you enable reminder notifications, the app schedules local notifications on your device using Apple system frameworks. Notification payloads may include information needed to identify the related reminder and present alert actions.

4. How Information Is Collected

The app processes information in the following ways:

  • directly from you when you create, edit, complete, snooze, pause, resume, search, or delete reminders
  • on-device when the app calculates the next due date, notification timing, and reminder state
  • through Apple platform services when you enable notifications, use iCloud / CloudKit sync, or use the Apple Watch companion experience

5. How Information Is Used

The app uses the processed information only to provide core reminder functionality, including:

  • saving and displaying your reminders
  • calculating the next due date from your actual completion time
  • scheduling, updating, snoozing, or canceling local notifications
  • syncing reminder data across your Apple devices when iCloud is available and enabled
  • showing reminder information on the watch companion and routing watch actions back to the main app
  • storing your in-app preferences such as language, theme, and display settings

6. Data Sharing

Based on the current implementation:

  • we do not sell your personal information
  • we do not use your data for advertising
  • we do not use third-party analytics SDKs in the app
  • we do not require you to create an app-specific account with us

Your information may be processed by Apple as needed to provide Apple platform services that the app relies on, such as:

  • iCloud / CloudKit for cross-device sync
  • UserNotifications for local reminder notifications
  • WatchConnectivity and related Apple frameworks for the watch companion experience
  • App Store and device platform services

Those Apple services are governed by Apple's own terms and privacy practices.

7. Data Retention

  • Reminder data and settings remain stored until you delete them, remove the app, or Apple system services remove synced copies according to their own rules.
  • Local notification requests remain on the device until they are delivered, replaced, or canceled.
  • If you use iCloud / CloudKit, synced reminder data may remain in your Apple account storage for as long as Apple keeps it available to support your sync experience.

8. Your Choices

You may:

  • edit or delete reminders in the app
  • disable notifications in the app or in system settings
  • stop using iCloud on your device, subject to Apple's device and account settings
  • uninstall the app at any time

9. Children's Privacy

TendCue is not directed to children under the age required by applicable law to provide valid consent on their own. We do not intentionally design the app to collect personal information from children for advertising or profiling purposes.

10. International Processing

If you use Apple services such as iCloud / CloudKit, your information may be processed by Apple in accordance with Apple's infrastructure and legal requirements for your region.

11. Changes To This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect app changes, legal requirements, or operational updates. The latest version should be made available wherever this policy is published for the app.
